Looking for a new sport to learn? Look no further! Forest City Diving Club (FCDC) offers Learn to dive (LTD)
programs, March Break and Summer Camps for children aged 5 to 12. The only requirement is that your child must be able to swim.

Diving is defined as the sport of entering the water from a raised position, often while executing tumbles, twists, and other acrobatic maneuvers. Springboard diving is done from a flexible board. The board’s flexibility allows divers to jump high into the air to execute various maneuvers before entering the water. Platform diving can be done from different heights (3, 5, 7.5 and 10m). As with springboard, diving on the platform can be initiated with hurdles or from a standing position. A hurdle is a step sequence with which the diver approaches the edge of the board.

FCDC has been producing National level divers since 2003. All national level divers made their start from a LTD
or camp program. The strength of this sport lies in learning the basic fundamentals of diving. With a good foundation, there are no limits. Enthusiasm, excellent training and fun will lead to great success, not only in the sport of diving but will also help your child develop skills necessary to succeed in school and life in general.

Come by the Canada Games Aquatic Centre to check us out or sign up for a week of camp during the March
Break or summer to get a taste of what diving is all about. A week not enough? Then consider the LTD program. Visit us at www.forestcitydiving.com.
