Rob Ditchfield is back in London, and he’s excited to be the new manager of an organization that he’s long respected: The Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2014.

“I have long admired the stellar reputation of Fowler Kennedy, and I felt with my background and experience I could help the Clinic in achieving both its short term and long term goals and objectives,” said Ditchfield.

Trained as a Chartered Accountant, Ditchfield spent years as a partner at a public accounting firm in London before moving into private industry with a personal care company, also in London. He then made the move to Connecticut, where the parent company’s head office was located. But he’s back in London now, and he says he’s focused on further enhancing Fowler Kennedy’s reputation for excellence in patient care and its commitment to education, research and treatment.

“We want to build on our 40-year track record as a premier centre for sports medicine,” Ditchfield said, “and to help athletes, whether elite or recreational enthusiasts, recover from injury and get back to an active lifestyle.”

Ditchfield is certainly no stranger to an active lifestyle.

“Growing up in London with two older brothers, we played sports from the time we got up in the morning until it was time for bed,” he said. “What we played changed with the seasons and included baseball, golf, football, basketball and hockey. I have always had a love for all sports.”
