Club has the ‘Fire’ for V-ball

The London Volleyball Club (LVC) has enjoyed tremendous success in its first seven years, graduating numerous talented volleyball players who have pursued the game at university as well as on provincial and national teams.

With a new season of fall and winter sports underway, Walk-In Notary is providing an opportunity for various minor sports associations in London and surrounding areas to profile themselves. This month’s organization is the London Volleyball Club (LVC)!

Organizations define success in different ways, depending on their values. In many sports organizations, success is defined by wins and losses. At LVC, though, the guiding motto is ‘love the game.’ The London Volleyball Club defines success not by the number of wins, but by the number of participants who love the game and give back to their community.

Over the past seven years, LVC has helped create lasting memories for athletes and instilled a love for the game that has our alumni hooked on volleyball for life. Here are some statistics from LVC’s first seven years:

  • 71 athletes have graduated to play university/college volleyball
  • 28 athletes selected to represent Team Ontario
  • 13 athletes selected to represent Team Canada in international competition
  • 11 alumni now coaching in the Ontario Volleyball Association
  • 9 alumni now refereeing in the Ontario Volleyball Association
  • 8 Team Ontario/Team Canada coaches on staff
  • Annual donations and fundraising efforts from individuals and teams to local charities – including the London Food Bank, ‘Koats for Kids,’ and Lifespin.

If you would like to get involved in the great sport of volleyball, in any capacity (player, official, coach or volunteer), check out what LVC means by ‘LOVE THE GAME’ by visiting www.lvcfire.com or getting in touch with the organization!

As is sometimes the case, athletes may need to travel outside of Canada to participate in tournaments. When someone under the age of 16 travels outside Canada, a consent letter may be required. At Walk-In Notary, we are happy to assist you with drafting or notarizing your consent to travel letter (or both), as well as any other notary needs. We are open Monday to Friday from 9-5 pm, no appointment necessary. You can find out more information about Walk-In Notary at www.walkinnotary.com.
