The London Badgers are entering their 21st season in 2015! Twenty years is a long time, but the Badgers are actually one of the youngest organizations within Baseball Ontario. However, they’ve been arguably one of the best ‘Club Team’ organizations within the past 15 years.
In fact, the Badgers are the only “Club Team” to play in Canada’s top elite baseball league, the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO). Competing with Canada’s best baseball players throughout the summer assures that Badgers players are seen by Canada’s top professional and college scouts. Due to this exposure, the London Badgers have produced over 20 players drafted by Major League Baseball, over 30 players signing to NCAA Division I Universities, and another 100+ players signing with various university-level teams.
Organizationally, the Badgers have achieved one of the best Provincial and National records in Baseball Ontario history. Since 1997, the Badgers have won the Ontario Elimination Championships 10 times, and have earned four gold medals and four bronze medals at the National Championships. The Badgers have also won the Baseball Ontario AAA Championship eight times.
The focus for the next 20 years remains the same as the last 20 … Work Hard, Dedicate the necessary time to Improve, and maintain the Integrity of the Game. Through these disciplines, we are dedicated to ensure that each and every Badger player reaches their baseball and academic goals.
