AG London Development Program is a year-round soccer program designed to fully develop the skills and abilities of young players and to prepare them for competition. The program is like nothing London has ever seen, as it trains and educates players like a professional European Academy — all of the teams train 3-4 days a week year round.
Technical director Garrincha Figueiredo and his coaching staff at AG London have developed a program structured in stages, which helps to draw out and develop a player’s individual talent as well as teamwork. Hundreds of different training sessions and a host of exercises focus on fundamental aspects of soccer, like decision-making, positional play, and other facets of the beautiful game. The variety of drills and exercises ensures that the players are continuously improving, and they are encouraged to always be mindful of what it is they are working on. This awareness maximizes the return on investment of the energy and time they put into their craft.
AG London has announced an exciting trip, as the club will travel to Europe during March Break in 2015. The 2002 and 2003 boys teams will be playing games against professional youth academies in England, Belgium and the Netherlands. While in Europe, the boys will have the opportunity to practice at the Arsenal FC Academy training complex with their training staff. This trip is a perfect example of how the Academy is committed to improving the degree of competitiveness and achieving sports excellence.
