The trainers of Centrefield Sports Facility are more than just what their credentials reflect. Beyond the Major League Baseball experience, the Olympic exposure, and the Pan Am medals resides a group of trainers with their focus in the right place: on the young athletes.
Every day at Centrefield Sports, our doors are open to the public for rentals of any sport, but it’s in baseball that our professionals have the biggest impact. Through daily private lessons, our trainers not only teach the fundamentals of the game to both young and old, beginner and elite, but they also become mentors and provide positive leadership.
Our weekly clinics and leagues allow our athletes the opportunity to build friendships, confidence, and skills. The connection that is developed between our training staff and kids has turned the shy and unsure child into a socially confident and talented young individual.
Our facility has become the home for many local baseball organizations that hold the same goals and visions as our trainers. We all work to build the sport and to make it about the kids, and about their enjoyment of the game and their development. And in the end, we create opportunities for a future in baseball.
As with every major sport, reaching the highest level requires dedication and focus. Now, how about those kids who aren’t looking for that MLB goal? Well, those are the kids who come for the enjoyment of Centrefield’s positive atmosphere. They come for the laughter and the social development, and that is another area where our trainers excel. Either through our CFS Outreach Program, or through their donated time, our trainers reach out to local kids and provide them with opportunities they may not have otherwise had the financial support to enjoy. Our staff is dedicated to bringing the fun of baseball to all kids, no matter the obstacles.
As we move into 2015, the staff at CFS is excited to focus on new connections in the community that promote the development and activity of kids. Join us at the field for what is sure to be another year of giving. Make sure to follow CFS on Facebook and Twitter for daily updates!
