The London Aquatic Club is committed to achieving quality and excellence in competitive swimming at all levels. Every swimmer in our club is given the opportunity to be the best that they can be, and in a positive, caring and safe environment.
This year, our membership is the largest it has ever been — we now boast almost 230 swimmers in our ranks — ranging in age from 7 to 19 – as well as 19 coaches, (four full-time and 15 part-time). We offer free assessments and two-week trials at any time during the swimming year (September to July).
Our swimmers are now busy training for the main competitions on our fall calendar. The first of those is the Nothers Invitational Swim Meet, which the LAC hosts at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre (our home pool) on Wonderland Road North. The meet, which will attract over 800 swimmers from across southern Ontario, will run a full three days (Nov. 22-24).
Our swimmers are also preparing for the Pointe Claire Invitational in Montreal, Quebec, which will be held from Dec. 12-15. LAC will send 80 swimmers to this event, and we will compete with swimmers from across eastern Canada.
