Four Forest City Volleyball Club (FCVC) athletes (Shannon Morelli, Maddie DeDecker, Anna Feore and Lauren Sanderson) made the 18U Provincial Indoor Volleyball Team this past summer. Two additional FCVC athletes (Elena Simpson and Michelle Chelladurai), meanwhile, were selected as alternates to the team and had the opportunity to train with Team Ontario before the team headed to Winnipeg.
Team Ontario competed in the 2013 National Team Challenge Cup tournament held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in July. Team Ontario went undefeated against all the other 18U provincial teams during pool play and captured the gold medal in the finals against Team British Columbia.
