Although the outdoor baseball season is over, the friendships that developed throughout the year on the diamond will hold strong and true in the offseason. Throughout the 64 years that the Eager Beaver Baseball Association (EBBA) has been developing baseball skills in London’s young players, the bonds of friendship that have developed on teams have long lasted past the final out.
From the Rookie A’s, Julien Camara, Ryder Marier, and Owen Sturt-Smith are also classmates at school this year. On the Mosquito A’s, Owen Legros and Alex Schieven, teammates from 2017, welcomed Jason Macgregor to the team, and now the three meet after school and on weekends to further their baseball friendship. Zach Duval and Graydon Helwig met on the Mosquito Yankees and quickly became good friends. All are looking forward to continuing their camaraderie into the next season.
Plans for the 2019 EBBA house league season are already underway. Registration for players 4 through 21 years old will open online at the beginning of January (and in-person at the end of January). Meanwhile, preseason indoor clinics will also begin in January. Please check the EBBA website, at EBBA.ca, for further details!
