Summer at the Little Gym of London was just amazing! We had our busiest year ever with our full- and half-day summer camps with weekly themes, such as Pirate Week, Cheerleading, Ninja Warrior and Home-Town Heroes, among others.

We also had our busiest School-Readiness Camp for children who plan to enter kindergarten for the first time in September 2018. This is a big life event, and we want them to be as ready as possible. We do so through our Wonderkids Club program. Taught in a classroom setting, it includes two hours of learning and craft stations and one hour of gym time in one of our regular classes. And it’s not just a summer offering! We run this program all year long, with classes from 9:15am-12:15pm on Mondays, and 9:30am-12:30pm on Thursdays for 3 and 4-year-olds who plan to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2019. It’s a great supplement to daycare to help children get ready to separate from parents and learn to problem-solve and follow directions from a teacher.

Also offered are our Parent Child classes (4 months to 3 years old), PreK (3-6yrs) and Grade School (7-12yrs), which feature programs in gymnastics, dance or sports skill development. We also offer Awesome Birthday Bashes for ages 1-12, and Parent Survival Nights on select Fridays each month. What is The Little Gym? Our best answer to that question is that we help socialize children. That’s our goal, and it’s what our team is focused on each day. We do that by using many tools. One of those tools is the challenge of gymnastics (as well as other sports). So, along with the social and cognitive benefits of our programs, there are physical benefits as well.

Studies show that if a child is not properly socialized by the time he or she is age 4, then it becomes increasingly difficult for them as they get older and enter school and life. We don’t want that for anyone! Our curriculum is professionally designed to lay the foundations for socialization and problem-solving in children starting as early as 4 months old. So, the sooner you join the better! Visit us in Sherwood Forest Mall, or call (519) 642-0660.
