The London Aquatic Club capped off a successful 2016-17 swimming year with some top performances at the Canadian Junior and Senior Championships – in Toronto and Montreal, respectively.

Jessica Allen, Katie Callon and David Hickey represented LAC at the Junior Championships from July 26-30, with Hickey leading the way with three top 10 finishes. Meanwhile, in Montreal from Aug. 4-7, Maggie MacNeil raced to a silver medal in her 100 metre butterfly specialty, while teammates David Armstrong and Devin Gotell also competed at the event.

Earlier in July, the club hosted the 40th annual Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational at the Thames Park Pool.

The club and its coaching staff of 20 are already gearing up for the 2017-18 swim year, with new swimmer try-outs available on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre. The full program commences on Monday, Sept. 18.
