Facility activity filled

Centrefield Sports, the spacious fully-turfed indoor facility, offers its space to a variety of activities and groups throughout the fall and winter, including baseball, football, rugby, soccer, cricket, lacrosse, field hockey and more!

As the weather changes, the leaves begin to fall, and ice skates and hockey gloves earn their spots outside of the closet, Centrefield Sports looks to keep the baseball season going into the colder months, while also introducing athletes of all disciplines to some of the other possibilities that await at the indoor facility.

Extended hours and baseball clinics will both begin at the start of October. The facility will be open every day of the week to ease winter woes, with a four-week clinic to get the offseason going. An eight-week clinic will then run through November and December, as well as rookie, mosquito and slo-pitch leagues continuing throughout the fall. Private baseball lessons and rentals are also available, but slots are limited and will fill up quickly.

Highlighting the fall season is the facility’s annual college and pro showcase, held in October to feature standout area baseball players. The event brings in recruiters and professional scouts to London.

Autumn will mark the start of a new season for the Great Lake Canadians program, after its teams won Canadian Premier Baseball League championships at the 14U, 15U and 18U levels during the summer.

Beyond being a baseball haven all-year round, Centrefield Sports, the incredibly spacious, diverse, and fully-turfed facility, is also home to a number of other sports, for both training and leagues. The facility offers its multi-purpose space to football training, rugby, soccer, cricket, lacrosse, field hockey and flag football, among an array of other activities.

Memberships to the facility are available to suit any need and commitment level, varying in length from one month to 12 months, with gym-specific memberships also offered.
