The London Aquatic Club’s 165 swimmers impressively raced to over 1,000 personal bests at the annual Hollandia Invitational Swim Meet in May. Over 800 swimmers from across southern Ontario took part in the event at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.

The club followed up these great results with a very strong showing at the Western Ontario Regional Championships, June 3-5 in Windsor. LAC won the overall team title by almost 400 points, finishing ahead of teams from Waterloo, Windsor and Hamilton. Twelve-year-old Carter Buck led the medal charge, collecting seven gold and one silver, while establishing a club record in the 50m backstroke event. In total, 31 LAC swimmers raced to over 100 medal-winning swims, while another 25 placed in the top 10.

Next up are Provincial Championship events in Etobicoke, the club’s annual outdoor Paul Hauch Invitational at the Thames Park Pool, and the National Championships in Edmonton in August.
