Ally Carr, Forest City Volleyball Club
Ally Carr is a well-rounded Grade 11 student at Parkside Collegiate Institute. She has competed in cross country, Field Hockey and Badminton, and she was the winner of the Jr. Athlete of the Year. She has earned multiple trips to OFSAA for Track & Field, and tied the Parkside high jump record and broke the long jump record.
Her favourite sport above all else has become volleyball. She is a proud member of the Forest City Volleyball Club 17U Girls Green Team where she was last season’s MVP and captain this season. She has captured gold at numerous tournaments on the OVA Beach Volleyball Tour, and earned provincial gold medals as back-to-back Ontario championships. She is a two-time captain and MVP of the Parkside Jr. Volleyball Team, and is captain of the Senior team this year.
Ally is an honour roll student and vice president of the Student Athletic Association. She spearheaded a Jeans for Teens in need collection drive, volunteered for St. Joseph’s hospice, peer tutoring, and with her teammates from FCVC has participated in an event the past two years that has raised over $67,000 for Childcan.
