The EMSA outdoor soccer season had great excitement and featured great results both at the Youth and Adult levels in 2015. There was fierce competition at the Ontario Cup Tournament this season, and by the end of the year a number of teams from our District were crowned Champions and Runners Up.
The North London Galaxy Under 13 Girls team won the Gold Medal, while the Under 15 Girls from North London also won Provincial Gold. On the adult side, the London Marconi Men’s Team repeated as Provincial Champions and traveled to Calgary to compete in the National Championship in an attempt to repeat as champions.
The Marconi Azzuri Women’s Team won the Provincial Championship and went on to the National Championship but unfortunately did not progress beyond the first round of the competition. Meanwhile, the London Apollo FC Masters Team were Silver Medalists at their Provincial Competition.
The Indoor season is about to get underway with over 100 teams registered at this point. This should also be a very competitive Indoor Season.
There will also be a focus on Futsal this season for those players who wish to have a different or additional experience of the great game of soccer.
