Plans are moving forward at Eurostar for 2014. Seven teams made up of players born 2005 to 1998 have been registered to participate in the outdoor SAAC league, and the SAAC season begins March 29 and continues through to mid-November.
In April, our U16 team will be attending the Mediterranean International Cup near Barcelona, Spain. This is one of the highest competitive youth soccer tournaments in Europe with many teams participating from academies of professional clubs, including FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and Inter Milan. The S.S.Lazio technical director will be joining our team on the trip. Later in July, our 2002 and 2000 teams will be travelling to play in the IBER Cup in Portugal, as well as the Costa Blanca Cup in Benidorm, Spain.
The development of strong players is core to the Eurostar program. The training focus is on technical skill — passing, receiving, foot work, and ball control — starting at younger ages with a goal of promoting players to future opportunities in U17/18. We are currently recruiting high-quality players age 2007 and older.

The Eurostar Football Academy announces that it has established a formal affiliation with the S.S. Lazio youth academy based in Rome, Italy. Under this arrangement, Eurostar will have access to the Lazio organization, including training opportunities with Lazio coaches, and our teams will participate in high-level European tournaments.
