The new OVA Tryout Window policy came into effect this year making tryouts interesting to say the least. Athletes and families in Ontario are seeing the many benefits of the growing number of volleyball clubs in their regions. Families are embracing the opportunity to explore their options and experience the freedom of choice.
This year, LVC scheduled tryouts with the “respect of our families freedom of choice” in mind We allowed you time to choose and you did. The final outcome was 22 teams. For this, today, we give thanks.
Thank you to all our families who chose to be part of the LVC Family! Since our inaugural year, your trust in us has been something that we take seriously. We are honoured by your trust and we are also proud of our commitment to follow through on this.
Whether you are Fury, Intensity, Ignite, Heat or Inferno, division one or division three, we equally value your commitment to our family. We listen to all of our members and we try to respond as effectively as possible. REPS on REPS was our first response to bringing our members closer together. Then we structured our season by having our teams work closer together. We have reorganized our team of coaches to provide quality coaching at all levels. We have invested in our youth with the appointment of Sean McKay as our Jr. Development Coordinator. Our Timbits and Feed the Fire coaching continues to thrive and registration has therefore increased.
And finally, where we hope to have shown our biggest commitment to your trust in LVC is by simply allowing our family members the opportunity to play volleyball. We have boys teams at all levels!! We have three 14U and 15U girls teams. We added a 17U Fury team and we are the only London club to provide the opportunity for our London female athletes to graduate from the club experience with our 18U Intensity team.
We are proud of our 22 teams!! 8 boys teams! 47 young women playing volleyball at the 17u/18u level!!! Strong coaching at all levels!! Increased focus on youth!! Reps on Reps!! More holiday clinics and camps!! We are proud of our commitment to your trust in LVC.
