Improving London football together

The London Minor Football Association (LMFA) is ready to kick off another season on the gridiron!

Volunteer coaches are the backbone of every great sports organization. That is especially true with London Minor Football, as our coaches train and prepare in the offseason as well as give their time and energy in the fall.

With 24 teams and 3-5 coaches per team, our group of dedicated coaches is second to none. The Bulldogs coaches (who all return in 2016) are a great example of dedicated volunteers. Tyke coach Cam Evans, atom coach Corey Seybold and peewee coach Jason Gnay all work together, as the teams practice on the same field all season long. Both Corey and Jason were involved in the 2015 LMFA all-star teams, while Cam is coaching with the OFC’s Forest City Thunderbirds this summer.

When coaches can commit to the same team for a number of years, they help to build a strong overall program. The Bulldogs saw big improvements in all three age divisions last season, with the peewees losing a thrilling last second semi-final playoff game. Having all their head coaches return in 2016 will help these teams continue to build and get better!

Registration for the fall 2016 season is open online. The season’s registration fee of $275 includes the rental of all football equipment, a jersey to keep, and a team picture.
